JobbKompass Online Privacy Policy

Overview

JobbKompass Online helps users find jobs in Sweden. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and which choices users have.

1. Information stored locally on your device

The app stores language, theme choice, saved jobs, saved searches, and certain app settings in local device storage so the app can work properly and remember user preferences.

2. Resume and documents

When a user selects a PDF resume, text is read from the file on the device to suggest keywords and matching jobs. The app is designed to process this resume text locally in the app and not as a separate cloud upload service.

3. Job searches and external services

When a user searches for jobs, the app sends search queries and selected filters to JobTech and Arbetsförmedlingen to retrieve job listings and job details. These requests are driven by the user's own searches inside the app.

4. Advertising and consent

The app may show ads through Google AdMob. Where required by law, Google's User Messaging Platform is used to collect or refresh the user's advertising consent and privacy choices. If the user turns off personalized ads, the app requests non-personalized ads.

On iOS, the app may also show Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission prompt before allowing tracking for personalized advertising. If permission is denied, the app can still request ads, but personalized tracking-based advertising may be limited or unavailable.

5. Third parties

The app uses third-party services such as JobTech and Arbetsförmedlingen for job data and Google AdMob for advertising. These services may process data under their own terms and privacy policies when their services are used.

6. User choices

Users can change language, theme, advertising preferences, and privacy choices in the app settings. Saved jobs, saved searches, and local app settings can also be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app from the device.
